Poland became catholic in 966. In 966 Russia LITERALLY didn't even exist. Cyrilic at that point of time was generally unknown to most of Slavs, since it was just invented (somewhere around year 920) and used in Bulgaria.
As for Orthodox church - the great schism occured in 1054.
So when it was time to "choose" (966) - there was NO CHOICE AT ALL , DUMBASS. It was either that - or remain pagan and illiterate, ty kurwa cymbale jebany ty.
