It bums me out when I see an older cat in these shelters. I get that rationally they're not a good pick compared to a younger kitten but goddamn it's so fucking sad seeing them stock in a kennel with no chance of getting out.

People don't get rid of cats that way so you know that their owner has died and they dealing with that on top of being in a strange place and hearing animals all around.
