One of the most frustrating things about the left is how they often treat victims of incidents tied to the culture war as enemies. I first noticed this when that antifa member hit a kid with a bike lock... yet the reaction from many on the left was just mockery: "Haha, owned chud nazi xD." The guy was seemingly apolitical, simply trying to keep the peace between opposing sides. Who knows, he might have even sympathized with leftist ideals. Then there’s the case of Laken Riley, who was tragically murdered by an illegal immigrant. Instead of mourning her, some folks on the left use her death as a punchline. And now they are making fun of kids who drowned, simply because they were from Texas. It’s as if, in the culture war, victims are just pawns or punchlines, regardless of the circumstances.

Is the right guilty of this as well?
