I have an intex mariner 4 (4 person raft). It's too heavy for my liking due to the floor PVC slats so I'm selling it. if I had to do it again it would be inflatable kayak all the way, emphasis on lighter weight.
The mariner worked well on lakes. Never tried to take it on rivers.
