If Dess is Knight, what if she tried to kidnap Toriel not because of the prophecy stuff, but because she has some personal beef to settle with her? We know how protective Toriel was towards Asriel, and from what we've heard from Tenna, I don't think Toriel was happy with Dess being a bad influence on her kids. I can totally see them locking horns constantly.
