The abby was the problem wich could have EASILY been fixed by a sequel. Speeding it up, adding worthwhile things there and having the other characters interact with it. They could also just remove it abnd simply have you hang out with the hereos inbetween missions wich was one of the highlights of the game.

Very true but you dont need every game to cater to a mass audience. If the game is good word of mouth will spread and people will buy.
