Every girl had a different reaction to being utterly mogged by Hanako. Lilly befriended her to be closer to her glory, Rin retreated further into her autism, etc. Ultimately, every girl has chosen their identity based purely on their inferiority to Hanako, which is really sad when you think about it. You can't blame Hanako for this, of course. The girls aren't strong enough to define themselves otherwise.
