This genuinely makes you think how different the series would be right now if the initial characters and team setups happened in Heroes as opposed to the final version we got.
>Fang, Bean, and Bark are revamped for the modern continuity like team chaotix thus they are no longer stuck in classic jail and become mainstays in the series going forward.

>Shadow isn't brought back and remains a memorable one-shot character thus all stuff associated with him in later games like black doom and (possibly) the gun commander don't exist. In addiction, the brief tone shift in the franchise due to shadow05 doesn't happen
>team dark doesn't exist so Omega likely isn't created and Rouge possibly remains a character more associated with Knuckles.
>Sonic 06 and silver would likely still have happened but shadow's influence in the game is removed and the story would be different. In fact shadow's influence on the series has a whole would be toned down to brief references and non canonical cameos.
