The show started to work towards the middle, for me, however I don't really appreciate multiverses, it makes me feel too much like the worst marvel MCU.
I really enjoyed the friendship between Machu and Nyaan as the show treats it as true friendship and camaraderie between two girls and not as yuri fetish.

I can't stand Shuji though, he's apathetic and autistic, and I don't think it's believable that two girls could fall for him. I wish he was genuinely some heroic and inspiring "Kamina guy" who could really justify the attention he gets.

Challia Bull probably the best character in the show and he also occasionally acts as a mentor.

Ultimately I'm disappointed with the ending.
