Hello artfriend. Since you've gone through the trouble of providing detailed feedback, I'll address the points made.
>the shade of red <...> too saturated
It's supposed to be ruby red, consistent with depictions of oni and tengu. Feel free to suggest a hex code of a color that would work better.
>garish blue skull graphics shirt
The shirt is currently getting a re-design, but mostly to reduce the noise from floral elements and give it a more "wa-fu" look.
The skulls used on it are Japanese ink-brush style skulls. Patterns like that are common in Kyoto-style clothing, e.g. embroidered hoodies and modern aloha shirts.
That being said, the shirt is currently not in use. I usually use the rashguard or plate carrier toggles instead.
>nose too long
I would make an oy vey joke, but I'll stop at just agreeing to disagree.
>>3D model that was shot in different positions to make it seem as if it's Live2D
The model is fully 3D. I dislike L2D as format as it breeds dependency on artists for modifications.
>>horns look detached from your head
The horns are in fact sunk into the face mesh by quite a bit. They are getting a redesign though, for a more streamlined look
>The decals and imagery seem like they're thrown in haphazardly without any rhyme or reason other than the fact it looks Japanese
Not sure what imagery you're referring to.
The tattoos are made of occult imagery, consistent with traditional horimono.
The charms and trinkets on the armor are based on IRL items, and all tie back to a specific practice on occult Buddhism.
Morale patches are toggles. In practice only one is worn at a given time, when redeemed by viewers.
The plate carrier design is based on how high-value kendo equipment is made: with a traditional pattern with accent pieces used as a base layer and the utility elements affixed over it.
>I'm not even going to touch the tactical stuff
Tell us how you really feel, anon.
I don't really have "tactical" elements in my design outside of the aforementioned body armor, which was redesigned for a more occult/Japanese look on the advice of the thread.
It's a removable toggle, and it's consistent with my branding, since a big chunk of my content is tactical shooters and firearms.
It may not be your personal cup of tea, but it's a good fit for /tac/.
I'll make an updated reference once I'm done with the new shirt, since there are other things I've added since, like a rigged flaming halo.
