The metric is just "tattoos can be gang related" because there is no backing up what they've called gang related, they just say it is. It's less about the effort it takes to dress like a clown and be mistaken for a clown and more about how Hegseth is a gang member by these standards.

>and I aim to be intellectually honest in arguing for it to see where it is lacking.
And I appreciate that, but coming out of the gate with "they hate nature, they hate their hair, they hate their skin, so they get dye their hair pink and get tattoos" is incredibly brainlet if you're trying to be honest and provide something meaningful. You already said it's fun purple prose for other anons and I appreciate that honesty, but once you're there and writing for that purpose, you've already given up on trying to be rational. Trying to be an intellectually honest purple prose writer like this is self defeating. You wind up clinging to ideas that aren't meant to hold outside the /pol/ circlejerk.
>If we take a step back and consider the left not as just a political camp but also as a manifestation of an underlying tendency
You said this looking to form a gotcha about tattoos and hair dye. Attempting to typify the entire leftwing which includes the Bernie against the Trump rightwing candidate who is makeuped and has the hair of a Californian lesbian, the thing instantly falls apart. It speaks to aesthetics which are circumstantial all to say that tattoos are about skin hatred and skin hatred is nature hatred. It's dumb and I think you're smarter than this.
