Zelenskyy Meets King Charles, Seeks UK Support Ahead of NATO Summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Britain's King Charles at Windsor Castle on Monday, seeking to bolster support from a key ally on the eve of a critical NATO summit in The Hague.
The audience with the monarch preceded a series of high-stakes political meetings in London. Zelenskyy is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street, where he is expected to press for advanced air defense systems and new sanctions against Russia. The visit comes after a night of deadly Russian airstrikes killed at least ten civilians in Ukraine.
"I will be discussing this very issue with our partners — our defense," Zelenskyy said in a statement before his arrival.
His agenda also includes meetings with the speakers of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, as well as a visit to Ukrainian troops who are being trained by British forces at a military base in the UK. The discussions are seen as crucial for coordinating strategy ahead of the NATO summit, where Ukraine's security and the international response to Russian aggression will be paramount.
