I've never seen human men with furry women as some sort of excuse, it's just that a lot of the furry woman who influenced this fetish for me early on were present in scenarios where them being a furry was a somewhat unique, novel thing. So the primary men available were human. Mirage from the Aladdin cartoon. M'Ress from the Star Trek cartoon. Bagi from... Bagi.
It's still an entirely furry fetish though.
