I'm on 90% rating after 8 years in the marine infantry. Comes out to just north of $2100/mo. Obviously that's a massive advantage financially, and definitely helped me a lot in late 20s while going to school and getting a career. BUT by golly my body hurts constantly. Can't run anymore, can barely lift weights, and I use copious amounts of booze and weed to get through the day. All in all, 4/10 experience. Also I know a lot about the VA system if any fellow mil anons want advice on getting a rating.
