I would assume the slide by itself after a basic field strip could be okayed by security. I'd be more worried about getting popped by customs sending the magazine body even if stripped.

they've had a number of iterations/skus over the years changing between the original frames, to railed, to even polymer with both slide and frame safeties. Sadly in recent years they've also started using nitride barrels instead of the old cold hammer forged ones since it's cheaper, what a shock amirite?
