He knows of their existence but doesn't know what they're truly capable, some subconscious block out of fear or something close to it is my best guess. Isn't the whole reason that these IDs don't go haywire is because some mental block prevents them from seeing what's actually going on? This might apply to something like an Arbiter or Claw

No, the Erlking *literally* cannot exist without Catherine. Remove Catherine like they did in C6 and so will the reason for his existence. Their existences are intertwined due to their own insecurities and inability to communicate which LCB Heath and Catherine overcame. I might be overcomplicating but think of Wild Hunt as a hatching Erlking with the conditional to fully become one (Catherine dies, don't Distort, Kill all of WH) not being met due to Clear All Catherine and his hatred for the estate being strong enough to anchor his existence. He's aware of the existence of other Erlkings and their crusade
