well, did 190 on the smith machine, 3x5, hesitate to call it a bench press though... did a set of barbell bench at 170 afterwards. don't want to knock it too much though, got MUCH better chest activation than regular bench, gonna actually start working in smith machine once a week for now. got a good comparison of the two exercises though, bench press is definitely a shoulder exercise more than anything, realizing that now. and also john when you make your transition to barbell, deload 20%. barbell is much harder and works different muscles that you can't properly train on the smith. just a safety tip.
yes i'm bragging. who wouldn't though? that's a lot of weight for someone like me, it's not just my bodyweight, it's the lankiness factor. surprised my bones held up so well. john will soon surpass me though, he's just starting, i'm highly trained, he will gain much faster. for now though, i can heem anyone in this general.
gonna shower and stuff my face with food. we'll see what tonight brings, am more tired than usual for this hour so hopefully an early sleep. oh, almost forgot, there was someone else in the gym, but he was freaking me out, slamming very heavy weights, laughing and talking to himself, didn't hear all he was saying but he started some of his sentences with "listen to me..." dude was huge and strong though, just another example of the benefits of madness.
