I wouldn't believe that it started off corrupt. Do babies start off corrupt or are they corrupted? Someone bit from the rotten apple and we receive the bitter taste. I do believe that there's a reason for everything, including said corruption.

I can get behind being gods (with little g's) or Godlike (like God) but not actual Gods. The latter is just silly when you realize the incomprehensible magnitude of the Creator, visibly evident everywhere within Creation. If the human mind can never grasp the immensity of creation, how can anyone ever dare call themselves God? It's laughable. Not even Angels comprehend God's ways.

The ideal path is to make peace with God, return to his or her favor and obey in spirit. Focus on being Godlike, the way children are like their parents, not try to be God.
