they surely were, once. the Kiengiri had a lot of fun creating many nasty little creatures. some of these have been exterminated over the centuries and centuries since the Epochalypse. Some have disappeared. And some have just regressed to animals.

In a way, you could say that Elves drew the shortest stick, but many others were not much luckier.

Also I had planned for them to appear in the very first update of the very first post of the Quest, but voting decided otherwise.
