I get that, as always, the show portrayed the issue unnecessarily drammatically, but there were times in the OG show where Steven was left severely scarred and that were never adressed by him or anyone to talk about it, Aquamarine and pic rel come to mind. While Future could've dealt with it more organically (pun intended), I think it was a good evolution for the series. Actually, it needed like 5 more episodes and to adjust that terrible 4 parter finale
