Zionism, as a political ideology rooted in establishing and maintaining a Jewish ethno-national state, must be critically examined because of its ongoing consequences for the Palestinian people. For over seven decades, it has justified the displacement, dispossession, and occupation of indigenous Palestinians—resulting in violations of international law, including the denial of the right of return, settlement expansion, and systemic discrimination. Opposing Zionism is not about opposing Jewish identity or Judaism, but about standing against settler-colonial policies and in support of universal human rights, equality, and self-determination for all people—Palestinians and Israelis alike. We must call for a just and peaceful future built on shared humanity, not ethnic supremacy or exclusion.
