My headcanon is that Shifty becomes a judge of the dead in the ending where she and Long Quiet become proper gods. How she judges souls is largely based on how they treated others in life, with a little bit of room for debate between her and the one she's judging about what his fate should be. She'd probably send me to some kind of a hell.
