Rebirth on its own wouldn't do anything at all since the nice rebirth toys are "other than high novice" or similar.
Just a few stat points more and a pittance of hp and sp. An utter waste of time.

You'd need to remove / giga nerf the Niff cards, and give back some of that hp and sp as actual base hp/sp like myro does, so rebirth would actually boost it.

Move the +20 job levels to rebirth.
Sprinkle in some second job skills or whatever to fill the role of "rebirth skills".
And lift the "no novice" restrictions on good pieces of gear.
Maybe even allow stat enchant on angelic protection, iirc even iRO did that.
Then maybe they could be more like a "real" class, like how Dev uplifted Ninja and especially Gunner. But still very much "play your shit class solo, you're not adding anything to our party" territory. Just like LKs that aren't named Cube.

But it's far too late now, even if Dev had any interest in tweaking it or any other class for that matter, anymore.
