Her own garden at the top of the Eve tree, the forbidden fruits, the demon contract powers, the Adam and Eve tree are all references to the Bible stories which we know Oda mixes in a lot with different religious mythologies, including his plot about the great flood and Noah's ark.

Ultimately the main give away is from Doflamingo. Oda trying to keep Imu's gender unknown so far when he's never done that before tells you something is going on.
