It's not about Immigration but Globalization. The migrant/immigration fight is just one aspect of living in a new, fully unified global society. One monoculture run from Shanghai, New York and London. The world is rejecting it, including the United States.
Globalism failed. The new multi-polar world Trump has caused is one aspect of this failure, just look at the divisions between Europe and Trump on Ukraine or Asia and Trump on Korea or the Middle East and Trump on Israel. The US can no longer guarantee the world's security and the free flow of trade. Iran will show that Americans do not have unlimited power, and therefore their markets do not have infinite money. This is when the American economy stops and collapses. The ((system)) requires growth, and now that it cannot grow, it dies.
This first happened in 1971 with the OPEC Crisis. President Carter warned boomers and gave them a choice: Honestly raise their taxes and build a better future, or Deception. Boomers chose the latter and 50 years of deficit spending, real estate speculation and financial products are now ending with AI wiping out most white collar jobs.
