I can tell you both put a lot of thought into this, but I can't help but roll my eyes at the insistence on practicality at the expense of a truly dynamic and striking design. I think Rouek had that right idea with >>149510697 if he hadn't gone overboard with the Metal Gear influence.
That said, as long as it suited your purposes, that's all that really matters.
