Psychedelics offer jailbreak from ego. But most people are not adept at creating themselves according to principles and good morals, they lack spiritual training and therefore their minds and personality form from happenstance. When psychedelics like LSD for example erode boundaries, the users often don't build them back up and end up becoming hippie bums. What is required with psychedelics is a class of superuser that is trained and experienced to serve the needs of the people, such as healing. In the case of the shaman, most of the time only the shaman takes the psychedelic. I reserve my psychedelic advice for people of who I can tell that their IQ is above 130 while still being spiritually aware.
