The Scanner Partition is large, but still smaller than you expected. Large tanks of coolant and additional blocks of memory are grafted to the sides of the room, adding additional storage space and allowing it to run smoothly despite the high data demands. The chamber has no ceiling, instead depicting the silhouettes of the gigantic radar dishes from underneath. You all prepare for another core guardian activation, but no such thing comes.
[Squid, how's security looking?]
[I disabled it when I hacked the door! Just lasers and turrets, nothing else. I think they never expected anyone to make it this far.]
Huh. That's good news for the mission. You're a little disappointed, though—it means there's no Ultimate-level Digimon you can jump. Wind heads towards the primary console and jacks Squid in again. You see several monitors light up with warning signs, only to be dispelled with orange markings and loading bars. He begins the download process with surprisingly little fanfare.
"Spread out, make yourselves useful. It's not over till we're back home."
You all begin wandering the room, spreading out and getting ready for a fight. Defenders might load themselves in at any minute. Bella and Gazimon set up pitfalls, while Kunemon spins webs and stands ready to electrify them. Otamamon guy and Ryan continue to treat his injury, while Liza seems to be looking around the storage shelves.
"Guess we should check the place out too." Porcupamon says. You take a look at your options.
>Go over to the scanner console. There are multiple, you can start figuring out how to use one while Wind is downloading from another. In the event that they can't replicate its functions without the infrastructure, you could request a search right here and now, and save that data. You're not sure what exactly you'd want to find, though. (Write in: Search for a Digimon. More up-to-date info on Cutemon, find Deckerdramon on behalf of Wind, anything you want.)
>Head to the storage archives. This area is meant to be highly secure. It might be possible to find Digi-DNA samples in here. Go search with Liza and see if you find anything that can power Porcupamon up further. Or if that doesn't work, something you can use to help your allies out.
>Examine escape routes and figure out the layout of this room. You feel certain that you won't be left alone this entire time. You need to figure out how this room works, what the exploitable terrain pieces are, and how you can leave it in an emergency. There's a link to the outside world in the form of the visible dishes above you, so you must be closer to the surface than expected. Scout it out properly.
