They're rather solid. There's only these caveats:
>original integrated optic is now pretty dated, you could do better from a practical point of view (a railed upper lets you put whatever you want on them)
>the progressive select-fire trigger on the Austrian military ones is not great
>those "NATO stocked" ones that take AR15 magazines supposedly use a cheaper and flimsier plastic for the stock, and aren't as good quality
>if you want fancy calibers there's not that many options
Original Steyr plastic waffle mags are very solid and dependable though, so if you're gonna splurge on a less common rifle like this, then you might as well commit to its magazines too. Also there's nothing wrong with 5.56mm, especially when you reap the benefits of the long barrel in the bullpup package.
It'd be cool to build something like a .350 Legend AUG as a hunting rifle or something, but I'm not gonna lose sleep over that not existing in the market.
