Yuh! Thank u for validating me anon. Do u think my mental illness is some kind of personality disorder like autism/narcissism that explains my attention seeking and inability to relate to other anons harmoniously (as if anons are ever harmonious)... or are u actually talking about my Dissociative identity disorder (DID)?
I think "disorder" is a bit of a misnomer, since it doesn't have to have a negative impact on someone's life or functioning, as is implied by by the term "disorder". I prefer being DID.
It seems like "identity" is an idea we create in our mind like any other, and the idea of a unified identity is culturally forced on us to make accountability and interpersonal dealings... but it has no strong basis in the actual setup of our mind. In fact, it is very normal for people in trying to understand themselves to discover conflicts within, and there's no reason not to label the different motivations with different identities. It makes internal negotiations smoother to know who you're dealing with.
It does make me wonder about trans ppl tho. How many of them are actually plural but unaware of their alters? Now that's DID as a real disorder... It's weird. Identity is weird.
Do any of u other anons feel like u have significantly different identities within you, to the point that it would make sense to name them and treat them as members of a plural system?
Oh... uh... sorry, I'm really far off of the thread topic. I love fantasizing about lust/horny/sexual stimulation based growth, then feeling conflicted and trying not to masturbate, which causes growing, but the bigger I grow the better it feels until I completely give in to the enjoyable sensations of smashing everything... who else is into this?
