The build up to CHADren is honestly the most hype thing in all of Dragon Ball. Coming out of the Black Arc, Goku literally felt unbeatable, the guy had mastered SSB Kaioken and even some GoDs showed fear towards his power. He looked so unbeatable that he seemed to be the villain of the arc this time, even when fighting Toppo, a GoD candidate, Goku just shat all over him without even using SSB Kaioken, when at the time we knew he could use SSB Kaioken x10

Then Toppo told all of us that he wasn't the strongest of his universe, and that if SSB Kaioken was Goku's max power, he would have no chance against the No. 1 of U11. We as the audience laughed at Toppo, knowing Goku still had SSB Kaioken x10 and Toppo being delusional about being equal to Goku even though he got raped by the regular SSB.

Goku kept shitting on everyone during the ToP with just SSB and no Kaioken needed. Then it happened, Goku finally faced Jiren. We see Jiren stop with one finger the same attacks that Beerus was having trouble with back in BoG, but there was no issue, Goku still had SSB Kaioken, right? Then Jiren just glared at it and beat it. No worries, Goku can still go SSB Kaioken x10, right? Then we find out that he had been using not x10, but x20. Goku went and used the Spirit Bomb on top of SSB Kaioken x20, and Jiren beat all that power by just staring at it. It was over, nothing could match Jiren anymore. Even fusions looked like a joke against that unstoppable force.

Finally, Goku's new form was revealed. Usually, a new form means the antagonist gets utterly raped and humilliated in moments, right? Not with CHADren. Ultra Instinct, Goku's latest form, was barely enough to even put Goku on Jiren's level. And then, Ultra Instinct was defeated, with Jiren, only NOW showing a ki around him. Hit comes in, but we all knew he wouldn't stand a chance.
