God incarnated himself as an Ancient Jew and made civilization spring from Mesopotamia (before spreading to Europe) because otherwise Italians and Greeks would be the most insufferable annoying nationalistic narcissistic people on Earth. Which they already kinda are but it'd be 200x worse.
