In a lot of modern gacha,
the pull system works on a 50/50 rate. So you pull 80 times and coin clip if you get the character you wanted, with maybe a 100% on the next pull if you lose.

is 100% all the time but uses more pulls and you have no soft pity, and less % to randomly so (early pull) a 5*.
People prefer it because it's statically better becasue no gambling but you miss out on the dopamine rush of a luck pull.
