>Starved as if he hadn't eaten anything since that last time he ate Snaust's provisions

>His breath is labored, his mouth mumbling nonsense words
>A pool of viscous, red liquid grows under him
>Finally get close enough to touch him
>His skin is clammy and almost as cold as the cobblestones under Snaust
>His eyes that do not see anymore land on Snaust
>He's weakly calling for his mother
>Asks for her to tell him a bedtime story, one last time
