sometimes we have periods in life when we're down anon, sometimes very bad, I was there at one point, and you just want to vent your frustration, it doesn't mean you have no desire for change or being better though, and it doesn't mean you can't change for the better, it just takes time, and if people need to vent you shouldn't berate them for that
considering his circumstances and the kind of culture he grew up and surrounded by he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and is willing to listen, hes already better off than those who vent with no purpose and (un)willingly deny any sort of advice due to their poor circumstances
