Personal perception here, but I feel like that here in Brazil, cousins are are mostly okay. My normie siblings have all confessed to me to having at least once kissed a cousin of ours. One of my friends has both parents who are cousins to each other, and he wasn't particularly ashamed of that. And nobody makes fun of him(for that in particular).

In our country, there is also a popular saying that goes like "God created cousins so that we wouldn't fuck our sisters".
