This is the (tr)usdx HF transceiver schematic. There's another schematic with a current-sensor, filter-switching relays for multiple bands, and a class-E amplifier. If I recall, you can use an analogue switch as a mixer, and I think that's what they're doing here. It's still impressive that they manage to get the I/Q sampling at 31kS/s each channel, demodulate FM, AM, or SSB/CW, and output a shitty PWM audio signal all without any DMA in an 8-bit single-core 20MHz AVR.
I know it's nowhere near as good as a proper radio, but its price and availability of parts makes me want to build one as my first HF radio. Thoughts?
