I wouldn't really call Heraton "Heathcliff's kid", since he starved his actual child to death after forcefully marrying him to Cathy 2.0, just to make her feel as miserable as him.
He technically took Heraton in, but it was mostly as a joke to keep him dumb and illiterate out of sheer pettiness.
