Nintendo is the scummiest video game company ever, and probably scummiest company in general. They use influential franchises and nostalgia to brainwash kids into growing attached to them, and they overprice all their games and products so their little piggies can buy the next bing bing wahoo for $100 plus tax. We're already seeing the consequences of this with the whole "onions beta redditor manchild" meme that's become associated with modern Nintendo fans in recent years. Say what you will about EA and activision, but atleast they don't brainwash impressionable young children to grow attached to them, and create retarded manchildren to be their white knights like shitendo does. They also take down fangames, and oppose anything made by fans, so that's another reason to hate them.
