When MLPG4 first started people initially thought the following about Rarity and Fluttershy
Thought Rarity was
>Shallow
>2Dimensional of a character
>Generic
>Lacking in depth
>Not Level Head
>Overly sensitive
>Narcissistic
Thought Fluttershy was
>More level headed
>Kinder
>Had potential as a character
>Had hidden depth
Meanwhile now that the dust has settled in G4 it turns out to be quite the opposite
Rarity is...
>Among the most depth of the characters
>A lot of natural and organic personality range
>Can be extremely level headed when it comes down to it
>Brave
>Intelligent
>Hard working
>Motivated
>Can be extremely kind hearted and generous but not naive about it
>Is in the top 2 mane 6 when it comes to having consistently the best episodes
Meanwhile Fluttershy
>Low key kind of insane (shown in Season 1 when she was seething over animals not being inlove with her to the point of abusing them and developing schizoid behavior when she was running Rarities shop
>Never goes through any real character development that feels organic and doesn't feel forced. Her only personality ranges are Timid, Subtly a bitch, and overtly a bitch.
>Worst episodes overall out of the entire mane 6.
>Comes off as incompetent some times
I wonder if Hasbro did this on purpose as a way to subvert expectations with these two characters.
