Once we get to the Land of Shadow...that's where Miquella's story truly begins. We learn of his disturbing ascension to godhood. The truth is...Miquella hated it. His blinding strength. His ability to corrupt the hearts of all. His gift. His cursed gift. That fact he was so loved by everyone and so abundantly blessed. And so in a truly morbid and tragic fashion, we learn how he discarded it all. Every gift. Every blessing. Piece by piece to become the perfect God he always wished he could be.

And so he abandoned all the flesh of his body.

And so he abandoned his eye (we know this is really important in Elden Ring it implies insight and is where his mother's "grace" is located)

And so he abandoned his doubt and vacillation.

And so he abandoned all his fears.

...and most tragically, to the sorrow of all. He discarded his love. His other empyrean half. St. Trina. He tossed her down the stone coffin fissure, left her to bleed and die. He discarded her in the most hidden and isolated corner in the world veiled by shadow, away from his main path. He wanted it to be hidden forever.

He discarded his love. He was loved, but could not love back. All given up, for his horrible quest for divine. For example of all the ones who loved him St. Trina and Malenialoved him the most. Malenia she fought for him. She died for his ambitions and decided to rot within for eternity. And in the end...she was abandoned. Alone with his husk, abandoned forever. And the worst part is we know it was all part of his master plan. She knew about it and went along with it. She was discarded and unloved.

Miquella's order would have been one devoid of love, but of compassion instead. But what kind of order would that be, ruled by a God who has no eye, who feels no doubt, fear. And most importantly, feels no love?
