How is it a brick? Blades are just another weapon type with varying stats and abilities, if anything they're better than other weapons due to having really good Traits (gain a free extra action on-kills is busted). There's nothing saying they can't give her the kit of a ranged attacker but with a Blade as her equipment, like how Daiyan has an AR that deals Light Ammo dmg, or Faye is a HG with Melee attacks.
If anything the main reason Blades are memed on is because we only have fukken' 2 of them which isn't really fair.
