It's surprisingly good, considering what a dumpster fire the rest of the game is. The story's got some neat twists and turns, even if it's held back by the need to justify fighting the same fucking boss in every chapter. And I genuinely consider the cast to be the best in the series apart from the original. As for whether that makes it worth playing through the game... that depends on what kind of "sale" we're talking about. I don't hate D6 nearly as much as some people, and even I would say it's an easy skip.
