While you aren't particularly wrong I think that's sort of the point of his fourth wall jokes, they (the show makers) just "play along" and focus the camera to make the gag more significant that it may actually be, it's even pointed out by the others once the camera pans out that they just see him look and talk at "nothing" like some delulu but just let it happen

There's absolutely something going on with him but I don't think his relevance is about his "meta" powers, it just feels more like a looney tunes type of gag tied to his avatar characteristics like Ragatha's ragdoll physique and Pomni's toonforce
