If you're not among the wealthy elite then it's a trainwreck of the highest order, an absolute mess. Nobody under 40 owns a home here and there's net emigration for young Irish.

Any financial or GDP figures you've seen to suggest wealth are complete nonsense and only seen by a select few. We've actually never had so many people in poverty and homeless, even compared to the 70s and 80s when Ireland was generally widely considered as a poor country.
