@M_KOJO_K27_0(ARG) isn't even the issue since it doesn't actually do anything. The default dialogue (i.e. index 0) for a character doesn't utilize any suffix (so it'd be @M_KOJO_K27, instead). It is a red herring, completely worthless, but also harmless, at least in theory.
The real problem is that the guy mindlessly copied over the changes made on the English side for Japanese Wriggle's dialogue (to bump up the index to 1 so that the existing English dialogue could continue to use slot 0 and existing saves could move to the new version without issue), without ever considering why those happened or what the effect would be on the Japanese players, which now refer to the English dialogue because they were still on slot 0, with their dialogue having been moved to slot 1.
v4.970 was a complete shitshow all around, really. Countless functions being called that don't exist, large amounts of duplicate function names, and copied over the translated English text for a Flandre dialogue that was originally in Japanese, which I presume happened because while bringing over a English-original Flandre variant, he decided to copy over the files for the existing dialogues as well without ever checking, which can in part be attributed by Anon's insistence in placing the English-original dialogue in the same folder as the Japanese ones instead of separating them.
At any rate, the solution for them would've been to just put the English Wriggle on slot 1 since dialogues are modular (and the parts which aren't I rework because this needs to work smoothly) and can easily be shuffled around, which would've kept their saves working correctly. But I don't think their users really understand the system since at least one seems to think we changed it on some sort of principle of it being "first" instead of doing it purely for save integrity.
