The issues you obsess over are far more severe in the United States. whether it's levels of violence, illegal immigration, or sexual assaults involving immigrants. On top of that, civil war is a much more present part of America’s national memory. Ours was back in the 17th century and most people couldn’t even tell you what it was about. And, of course, Americans are heavily armed. You need at least two armed groups for a civil war. In the UK the idea of civil war is pure fantasy. In America it's a real possibility
