Yeah it's such a shame.
Abnos are basically the most iconic thing from this series. and for some reason director feels the need to hammer to our heads that "abnos are not,nor will ever be real characters with depth or continuity"
like it would've been nice if they kept a small memory or change from meaningful events.
but whatever...
