That was a beautiful read, and it sounds like a great experience to have. Quite insightful. I can't say I have been contacted by any deity through Touhou (some connection with Koishi aside), but I will wish you a fruitful relationship regardless.

TL: At the sight of dew and the many spirits scattered, in the top of this rock of Kegon, I pray for happiness in the next world with all my heart and dedicate this statue.
Showa era, 41st year, September. (that would be 1967, I think).
Donor: Chigira/Chiaki (surname) Kou/Koushou/Kan (name).
A nice little inscription for an offering. I have translated "霊" for "spirits", but "ghosts" and maybe even "spiritual energy" would be viable options too.
Nice little comment from ZUN, too. There is this transient/ephemeral/spectral side to Gensokyo, especially in the earlier years (Eternal Shrine Maiden being, for me, the epitome of this, and the newest game also as maybe a revival of this feel) that he puts in words eloquently here.
