/sm/ is the old way shota boards used to be abbreviated with, on all the different imageboards that existed across the internet. It stood for Shota/Male, as opposed to he /ss/ that was for Straight Shota.
There is no point in calling a board exclusive for shota as Gay/Male, now would it?
